Why are the restaurants filmed in the daytime?
We filmed the restaurants during the daytime due to lighting reasons. We wanted you, the viewer, to be able to see as much of the restaurant as possible.
A lot of these restaurants are empty in the clips - does this mean they aren't popular?
Not at all! We filmed the majority of the restaurants just minutes after opening so we wouldn't disturb the staff or the clientele during their dining experience. We also wanted to respect the privacy of the diners so we chose times when the restaurants would be empty. These clips in no way represent the amount of patrons that visit the restaurant.
Do the restaurants pay you to come film and be on your website?
No, the restaurants do not pay us to be on Sneak Peek Eats. Our mission is to bring the restaurants to you, at no cost to you or the restaurants.
Why isn't my favorite Maui restaurant on the site?
If there is a restaurant you feel that we have missed or one that you want us to cover sooner than later, send us a line!
I noticed one of your restaurants is not in the right category. Can you change it?
We love to hear from diners and if you think one of the restaurants should be in a different category, or have another category added to the description, e-mail us!
You've already come to Oahu but you missed my favorite restaurant. Will you be coming back?
Let us know if there is a specific restaurant you want to see on Sneak Peek Eats!
My restaurant is on your site and you don't have us listed as kid friendly but we are.
Send us an e-mail to let us know and we'll update your categories. The same goes for cuisine - if you serve a broader cuisine then what we have listed for you, let us know.
What do we do exactly, and why are we doing this?
We believe this is the next big thing for customers to explore their dining options. Our focus is strictly on the atmosphere and every restaurant is viewed in a positive light. We know as diners we are more likely to go to a restaurant where the atmosphere suits our mood and style. Sometimes we shy away from a new place just because we have no clue what it's like, and we know others do too. But, no need to do that anymore!
What happens when we visit?
We take approximately 5-10 minutes to film a restaurant, preferably a few minutes before it opens or at a time when the restaurant is relatively empty. We do this so there is little or no inconvenience to the staff or diners, as well as respecting the privacy of diners who may not want to be on film. In those 5-10 minutes of filming, we capture the essence of the restaurant as well as the décor.
