New Maui-based business provides a central resource for finding personal and private chefs
September 2010 - Maui, Hawaii – SneakPeekEats.com, the newly launched Maui-based website, is now a central resource for finding personal and private chefs online. Providing chef-customized profile pages with videos, photos and information, individuals looking to hire a personal chef will get an in depth look at the bounty Maui chefs can offer.
Prior to Sneak Peek Eats, finding the right personal chef or private chef was a daunting task, with customers relying on word of mouth or a lengthy on-line search. Taking the guess work out of this, Sneak Peek Eats now serves as a home base to showcase personal and private chefs, providing a "virtual taste" of each chef, their personality and cooking style.
“We want Sneak Peek Eats to be the central resource to finding a personal chef,” says Matthew Semerau, president and owner, who founded Sneak Peek Eats along with his wife Nadine in 2010. "We want this to be the go-to database, not just in Hawaii but all over the US." Potential diners can browse the chef directory and search by cuisine or location.
In addition to profile pages, many chefs opt to feature 30-second clips to further showcase their work to potential clients.
The website also provides an important social component for chefs to build relationships, network and share tips. “We asked the chefs what they felt was missing in today’s online society,” says Nadine Semerau. “They expressed that they wanted a place to meet other chefs. With that information, we created the social networking aspect of Sneak Peek Eats.”
www.sneakpeekeats.com also contains 15 second virtual tours of Maui and Oahu restaurants so diners can ‘taste the atmosphere before the food.’ Currently Sneak Peek Eats features seven Maui Chefs, with plans to soon expand, featuring chefs throughout Hawaii and the United States.
