What's happening on Sneak Peek Eats

We've been making a few changes around the site and we're really excited how its been progressing.  We now have a members portion of the site where chefs can log in and create a profile or make changes to their profile such as uploading videos or photos as well as social network with each other. We've added a few new elements to the front page and we have a new twitter background, http://twitter.com/sneakpeekeats.

We've also added a new chef - Chef Elijah Manahan! Chef Elijah makes amazing sushi and specializes in Classic French, Japanese, and Pacific Rim. He also works with a nutritionalist to prepare his menus. Take a look at his profile and his video!

Aloha!

We've made some changes here at Sneak Peek Eats!

First up, we've redisgned the site with a brand new look. We also have a new player in the works with more ways to search, but that's to come in the next month. For now, we have the new look.  *shiny!*

And we have a new segment - private chefs and personal chefs! Have you ever wanted to hire a private chef but not known where to look? Sneak Peek Eats is here to help you! We've just added our first clip of Maui Chef Jana McMahon! While the restaurant clips were 15 seconds, we've chosen to go with the slightly longer 30 second clips for private chefs and personal chefs so we can really showcase their work.  After all, seeing is believing!

We're filming more chefs soon and will add those to the site as we go.  Hope you enjoy our new segment of private chefs!

Our newest personal chef on Sneak Peek Eats is Chef Rodger Shortell, also known as Chef Raja.

Chef Raja's company is Feast on the Beach, http://feastonthebeach.com. He grew up on the island of Maui, where he is currently based, and has a truly wonderful motto:

BIG, BOLD and BEAUTIFUL...just like LOVE! Anyone can eat, you deserve to dine.  I find food is more about you, than it is about me. ...sing like no one is listening...  ... dance like no one is watching...  ... FEAST on this banquet called LIFE!

Chef Raja's profile can be seen here and his video can be seen here.  BTW: We had the opportunity to taste his food and it was amazing! I'd never had papaya salad before and it was delicious! And I'm still thinking about the orange blossom and rose petal infused tropical vegan brulee.  Seriously, you'd never know it was vegan.

Last week we had the pleasure of filming Diana Dorenzo from Jazz in the Kitchen, based on Maui. Diana made homemade butternut squash ravioli with a browned butter sage sauce in the video and I'll be honest - There's nothing quite like freshly made pasta. Delicious!  She also makes her own bread which was divine!

Her motto is "I believe food should excite, nurture and satisfy the soul."  Many of her recipes are family recipes and she uses local Maui products as often as she can.

Her video can be seen here and her profile can be viewed here.  Welcome to Sneak Peek Eats Diana!
